FAIRLY EASY TO USE, EFFECTIVE AT CREATING A WATER-TIGHT SEAL

I purchased two connectors, one had brass screws and the other had stainless steel screws. The brass screws aren't strong enough to torque down to get a solid grip on the conductor.

Hello Alan, The three-pin female outer diameter is 0.94" and the crown if you will is 0.65" (that's approx. 15/16" and 21/32"). The manufacturer expects these to be used as a paired Male/female set and wired in as such. Your use of just one may not be ideal and the piece you are trying to retrofit may need to be swapped for the matching part of the set.
