Universal Replacement Boat Hook End

Great hook to repair broken boat hook. High quality and perfect fit for 1" pole. Comes with stainless steel hammer driven rivets that make for secure repair. Repaired pole is like new again.

I drilled out the old rivets. After removing the old hook, it was difficult to force the Davis universal replacement hook into my handle. I ground a bevel into the replacement hook shaft, then drove it in with a dead blow Mallet. Then drilled the hole for the rivets and banged them in with a ball peen hammer against vise anvil. Wow this hook is in solid.

WHILE ON MY LAST TRIP TO THE GULF OF MEXICO TO FISH, I WAS TRYING TO PARK THE BOAT IN THE SLIP AND BROKE THE OLD BOAT HOOK TIP. I GUESS THE METAL TIP WAS WEAK.
<br>THE REPLACEMENT HOOK SHOULD BE BETTER DUE TO IT BEING A PLASTIC. PUTTING IT ON THE POLE WAS NOT HARD. A DRILL, A DRILL BIT AND A HAMMER IS WHAT IT TOOK. EASY.
