The patented X-Air impeller makes the Mk2 the only automatic bilge pump that eliminates air-locks. Its engineered performance forces air bubbles trapped in the hose and underside of the pump out of the pipework, so that the pump will not run dry and burn out.

Easy to install and runs quietly. It says that there is technology in the pump to prevent air locks and the pump from running dry. I hope that is true.
