Hydraulic Steering

 

For fast boats and high-torque engines, hydraulic steering is the way to go. SeaStar Solutions hydraulic steering system makes holding a steady course effortless. Hydrualic steering systems do not transfer the load back to the operator (known as feedback). You may also need a power assist pump if you have a large horsepower engine. Choose from a variety of fittings, tie bars, helm pumps, cylinders, steering sealing kits, or even a complete hydraulic steering system.

 

Mechanical Steering

 

SeaStar Solutions also has a line of mechanical steering products. Mechanical steering can give good performance for boats up to 34'. We carry what you need for your mechanical steering system, including the popular No Feedback steering system (NFB). In boats with traditional steering systems, the engine will often tend to try turning to the right. The driver must continually apply pressure to the left in order to compensate. Thanks to the built-in clutch mechanism in NFB helms, the driver no longer needs to spend the entire trip wrangling the wheel.
