Fast slick bottom, good paint with some quirks
by Jimbojonesbos
Absolutely no hard fouling after 6 months in southern new England other than where the keel touched bottom in a gentle grounding that wore the paint off. Lots of soft growth after sitting on a mooring for a month in August, but it wiped right off with a rag leaving a smooth surface. Epaint gives a nice hard and fast finish, definitely best for boats with regular use as with all ablatives. Easily picked up half a knot of boat speed. But make sure to put lots of extra coats at the waterline and I'd avoid painting and letting the boat sit on the hard as the paint seems to physically deteriorate in the sun and lose adhesion when out of the water for extended periods .

<br>All in all it gives a great fast bottom and I am pleased however it is pricey and has some quirks relative to an old school copper ablative. The lack of toxic ingredients like irgarol or econea makes it pleasant to apply and sand as needed without irritation to the skin and eyes.
