Essential to starting engine

Searched high and low for this exact replacement for the OEM Idle Air Control Valve for my Mercruiser 5.7L TBI/MEFI3 configuration. This was an exact fit for my wiring harness relative to the mounting tangs. Top tang is longer than the lower and the plug orientation is as shown, facing aft for my wiring harness. Improvement in this IAC is the use of a metal stem attached to the valve plug, vs. the old plastic which breaks. This controls the air to the engine during start. Mounted on the side of the throttle body, easy access.
