Dickinson Marine Product Change Announcement

Dickinson is pleased to announce an update to the fan option of their appliances. Going forward they will be replacing the existing fan motors in their appliances with longer lasting, stronger boxer fans.

These fans require a speed control with a higher resistance to regulate their increased power, so if you are replacing an old-style fan with our new options, the speed control with also need to be changed as well.

Dickinson is also making a change to the voltage options they offer; while they previously offered 24- and 32-volt conversion kits for appliance fans & controls, they will now supply both fans and speed controls in 2 voltage options only: 12 and 24 volts. A noticeable decrease in demand for 32-volt conversions means they will no longer be available.

The new fans they have chosen are more durable and offer a wider range of speeds. Whether the fan is used to increase air volume to a burner in a diesel appliance, or to efficiently spread the heat generated by a propane fireplace, this upgrade will make the speed adjustments more precise and will help to warm up cold spaces up more rapidly.

Below you can see the existing product numbers for the older fans, and the corresponding part numbers for the upgraded fans and speed controls. This change will start approx. mid-November 2023.
